David Attenborough hits 85

It's hard to believe really. He doesn't come across as someone who is 85. (Then again, perhaps 85 is the new 75). Anyway, Happy Birthday David. What isn't in dispute is that he has created an amazing canon of work for the BBC over the last 60 years. Few could fail to be impressed with his contribution to the BBC's remit to educate - his wildlife documentaries are simply magnificent.

It takes someone with great intelligence and such natural communication skills to bring natural science into our homes in such an enjoyable and accessible way.
