A Man for Wrong Reasons

Poor old Prince Andrew. He seems to be getting it in the neck from all  angles at present. His role as a roving Trade Ambassador has been called into question due to a number of gaffes in recent times.

I think I have a solution. It may be a radical idea, but I am convinced that it is worth a shot. The UK government wants a trade ambassador who can do the job without making embarrassing mistakes. Why not appoint someone who has the qualifications, skills and experience rather than someone who has done nothing to merit the appointment - apart from being a member of the royal family.

It's just a wild stab in the dark, I know.

And the idea doesn't stop there. This would free up Andrew to do something that he and his clan are experienced at and qualified to do - opening church halls, launching ships, waving from cars - even just playing another round of golf. I think he would be a dab hand at that. And someone else can do the real work properly.

Much more like it - can do less damage this way

  1. Do you know, you may be on to a very useful idea there. If I understand you correctly, what you are saying is that we should employ people who are qualified, skilled and experienced. Hmmm. It's never been tried in Britain before, but it might just work.
