Now I know what Con-Dem means

The Con-Dem coalition has taken on a new meaning - and it is just as it sounds. It works like this...
  1. Conservative Prime Minister David Cameron states his views on immigration.
  2. Lib Dem Business Secretary Vince Cable then condemns Cameron's comments - calling them 'very unwise' and that they 'risked inflaming extremism'.
So, what exactly is the coalition's policy on immigration? Heaven knows! Not only can they not agree, they appear to be in complete opposition to each other. Wasn't this discussed at any time - you know - when they sit around that big table in Cabinet? No, oh well!

Coalition Colleagues discuss policy

So there you have it. That's why they call it a Con-Dem coalition. One side of the coalition makes a statement only for the other side to condemn it. I give it six months - max.
